SITE SPECIFIC PERFORMANCE IN THE THÉÂTRE DU NORD, AS PART OF A WEEKEND CELEBRATION OF THE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF THE CITY OF LILLE.

Educational supervision of the 2015-2018 class throughout their training. In September 2016 we created a site specific performance in the Théâtre du Nord, as part of a weekend celebration of the cultural heritage of the city of Lille.
A stroll through the wings, the stories and the memories of the theater. We walk you from the darkest depths to the most dizzying heights.

From the intimate dressing rooms to the dazzling heights of the spotlights. Shards of life and drama burst forth from the buildings many manifestations which once served as a butcher’s shop, a guardhouse, a covered market, a ring for boxing matches and cockfights… The ghosts of the Théâtre du Nord welcome us into their fold, so that we may write a new page in this story together, full of twists and turns.

Devises piece by student actors and writers at the Ecole du Nord

"This is the theater. A curtain, then foreground, the background, and further on, the empty space."
- Anton Chekhov, the Seagull (Treplev)
