Gabriele Smiriglia

Gabriele Smiriglia’s career has been an eclectic mix of light creation, video and photography.

Born and raised in Sicily, he then moved to Veneto study Art History, Theater and Cinema at the University of Padua.
Gabriele Smiriglia’s career has been an eclectic mix of light creation, video and photography. During his studies he also attended the Ipotesi Cinema film school in Bologna, headed by the directors Ermanno Olmi and Mario Brenta. As a light designer, he trained with Michele Sambin at the TAM Teatro Musica in Padua, Henk Danner from the company Emio Greco|PC in Amsterdam and Emmanuel Ferreira at the Théâtre du Vieux Colombier (Comédie Française) in Paris.

During his research, he wrote a dissertation entitled “The Dramaturgy of Light in Contemporary Dance” at the Sorbonne Nouvelle (Theater Studies) and at the University of Padua (Performing Arts and Multimedia Production).

In the dance world, he has collaborated since 2012 with the company Emio Greco|PC as a videographer, and with the dancer-neuroscientist Asaf Bachrach. He also works as a light and film designer with the theater directors Marcus Borja and Hakim Bah.

In September 2017, he was assistant director on Lucia Filippone’s film Li chiamavano Ribelli, primed at the 74 Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica in Venice.

He is the film designer at the Théâtre du Vieux Colombier, at the MC93, at La Scala Paris and at the Nouveau Théâtre de Montreuil, aswell as the lighting designer of Silvia Costa’s Nel Paese from Inverno. He has collaborated with Marcus Borja on Le Chant des Signes (2015) Théâtre (2016-2017), Intranquillité (2016-2017), Bacchantes (2017) and Zones en Travaux (2019). He was light designer in the Saint Denis Basilica for the exhibition “From Napoleon to Louis Philippe, François Debret, Romantic architect” (2018-2020).

JMW is a composer and performer, the creator of a powerful experimental universe mixing noise, ambient and electro music together with an intense sound/image connection. Blending mathematics, sound, cinematography and theater, his multidisciplinary productions are in constant evolution, seeking to stimulate the imagination through the specific approaches of these different fields. JMW creates a complete artistic universe using music, theatrical sound creation and video.

Diego Bresani

Diego Bresani is a photographer and theater director.

Diego Bresani is a photographer and theater director. A graduate of the University of Brasilia in theater arts in 2006, he has worked professionally as a photographer since 2001. Specializing in portraiture, his work has been published in the New York Times, The Guardian, Paris Match, Revista Cult, Revista HQ, Rolling Stones and Old Magazine. He studied large format portrait photography at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York. In 2014, his series “Ao Lado” won the V Prêmio Diário Contemporâneo de Fotografia. His portrait series Super-heróis das Superquadras was selected for the Situações Brasília 2014. In 2015, he held his first solo exhibition, Tuer/Matar, in Brasília. In 2016, his work was shown in a large solo exhibition organized by Matias Monteiro at the Galerie Athos Bulcão in Brasilia. The exhibition, entitled Respiro: portraits 01 brought together a collection of more than 180 portraits made over a 10-year period of his career. His work has been selected in the last two editions of the Transborda Prize for Contemporary Art, the most important prize in visual arts in Brasilia where he lives and works. His current research involves exploring the boundaries between documentary photography and theater directing.

Lucas Lelièvre

Lucas Lelièvre est artiste sonore et compositeur électroacoustique.

A graduate of the École du Théâtre national de Strasbourg and then of the École nationale supérieure d'art de Bourges (Arts and Sound Creations), Lucas Lelièvre is a sound artist and electroacoustic composer. He has worked with Madame Miniature and Catherine Marnas, Ivo van Hove, Éric Sleichim, Côme de Bellescize and Jacques Gamblin. He has worked with Chloé Dabert on Denis Kelly’s L'Abattage rituel de Gorge Mastromas, Jean-Luc Lagarce’s j’étais dans ma maison et j’attendais que la pluie vienne, Racine’s Iphigénie and Dennis Kelly’s Girls and Boys.
In 2016, he and the director Linda Duskova created the “Musée sonique” workshop for the University of Paris 8, an immersive sound platform at the Louvre Museum.
Lucas Lelièvre has worked with the Birgit Ensemble since 2015: creating sound and video installations and acting in Pour un prélude, before being sound designer for Memories of Sarajevo, Dans les ruines d'Athènes and Les oubliés Alger-Paris in 2017.
In 2018, he began a collaboration with Elise Chatauret on Saint Felix, enquête sur un hameau français, Lorraine de Sagazan for L’absence de père, and with Léa Girardet and Julie Bertin for Le syndrome du banc de touche.
He has worked with Marcus Borja on the sound design of Théâtre, Intranquilité and Bacchantes.

Clémence Martens


Since 2016, Clémence Martens has worked in the development of artists supported by Histoire de… in administration, production and distribution.

After receiving a Master’s degree in “Legal Administration of Artistic and Cultural Structures” from the University of Evry Val d'Essonne, Clémence Martens joined the Compagnie du Nouveau Jour (dance for young audiences), directed by Sophie Girod, as a production and distribution administrator. In 2010, she collaborated with Stéphanie Tesson in the showcasing of her performances. In 2011, she joined the Théâtre de l'Etreinte, Cie William Mesguich, as a production and distribution administrator, a position she has hheld for 5 years.
